Israeli Bookkeeping — A Specialty Program for Working Bookkeepers

Free specialty program · For working bookkeepers

You already do bookkeeping. Add the Israeli specialty.

A concise free program built for experienced bookkeepers. We skip the fundamentals you already know and focus only on what’s different in Israel — VAT, deductibility, payroll, the document hierarchy, and the native software. Updated for 2026 rules. After you finish, our team works with you to prepare and connects you with companies in our hiring network.

  • 100% free, no payment ever
  • Taught in English
  • Built for bookkeepers with 1+ year experience

Built for the experienced

No re-teaching of double-entry, AR/AP or reconciliations. The program assumes a working foundation and covers only what’s different in the Israeli market.

Current for 2026

Includes the 18% VAT rate, the SHAAM digital-invoicing rollout, and the 2026 reporting thresholds — not 2023 material with a sticker on it.

Placement support

We don’t stop at the certificate. Our team helps you prepare and connects you with companies in our hiring network.

How It Works

Three steps. No surprises.

  1. 01

    Apply

Tell us a little about your background — experience, software, education. Once your profile is reviewed you get instant access to the full course library.

  2. 02

    Move at your pace

Seven focused modules covering only the Israeli specifics. Most experienced bookkeepers finish the core in one to two weeks at a comfortable pace, plus time for practice exercises.

  3. 03

    Get connected

Once you’ve passed the assessment, our team helps you build a portfolio, prepares you for interviews, and introduces you to companies in our hiring network.

Placement Support

The course is just the start.

Most online courses end when the videos finish. Ours doesn’t. After you graduate, we work with you to take the next step — together.

What our team does for graduates

  • Portfolio & resume review. We help you reframe your experience for the Israeli market — what hiring managers here look for, what to lead with, what to leave out.
  • Mock interviews. One-on-one practice with practitioners who know what Israeli offices ask.
  • Direct introductions. When you’re ready, we connect you with companies in our hiring network — Israeli accounting firms looking for trained remote bookkeepers.
  • Support after you start. Once you’re working, we’re still here for the questions that come up in your first months.

The Course

Where Israeli accounting is different.

Seven modules. Every minute is on what’s specific to Israel — nothing on fundamentals you already know.

  • 01 Bridging your experience to the Israeli market
  • 02 Israeli tax & legal foundation — entities, COA, Tofes 6111, document hierarchy
  • 03 VAT (Ma’am) mastery — 18% rate, PCN874, SHAAM digital invoicing (2026)
  • 04 Deductibility & withholding tax — Section 17, Form 856
  • 05 Payroll essentials — Tlush, Forms 101 / 102 / 106 / 126
  • 06 Israeli accounting software — Hashavshevet, Sumit, Rivhit
  • 07 Calendar, culture & first 30 days on the job

Common Questions

Quick answers.

Is the course really free?

Yes — enrollment, lessons, materials, the final assessment, and the placement support are all included at no cost.

I’ve been doing bookkeeping for years. Will this be too basic?

No. The program assumes you already know double-entry, AR/AP, reconciliations and financial statements — we skip all of that. Every module is on something that’s specifically Israeli: the VAT cycle, the deductibility rules, the four-document hierarchy, the native software, the new SHAAM digital-invoicing regime.

How long does it take?

It’s a concise program — seven modules of focused video plus practice exercises. Most experienced bookkeepers complete it in one to two weeks at a comfortable pace. The pacing is yours.

Do I need any accounting background?

Yes — this program is built for bookkeepers with at least a year of working experience. If you’re new to bookkeeping, our entry-level program at israelibookkeepingcourse.com is a better starting point.

Do I need Hebrew?

The course is taught in English. We cover the small set of Hebrew terms you’ll see inside the software, but conversational Hebrew is not a prerequisite.

How does the placement support work?

Once you pass the final assessment, our placement team works with you on your portfolio, runs mock interviews, and introduces you to companies in our hiring network when both sides are a fit. We don’t make placement guarantees — outcomes vary — but the effort is real and personalized.

What hours would I be working?

Israeli companies run on Israel time, so the workday lands in the Manila afternoon and evening — roughly 1 PM to 9 PM, give or take an hour depending on daylight saving. For most people that means a normal daytime schedule, rather than the overnight “graveyard” shifts common in a lot of US-facing remote work.

What software do I need?

A reliable computer and a stable internet connection. Software practice happens inside hosted environments — you don’t need to buy any licences.

What if I don’t finish?

That’s fine. There’s no clock and no penalty. Come back when life allows — the certification is awarded the same way regardless of pace.

Who teaches the course?

Lessons are recorded by senior practitioners who handle Israeli bookkeeping for accounting offices day to day. The material is reviewed periodically as software interfaces and reporting requirements evolve.

How is the hiring network built?

Companies in our hiring network are accounting offices and CPA firms looking for trained remote bookkeepers. Many specifically prefer hires who already know bookkeeping fundamentals — the Israeli specialty layer is what they need to add on top.
